Fidgety Tunes is the first Album-A-Day attempt. It was only worked on for about 4 hours and was mostly me getting used to how FL Studio worked.

The tracks on this album are all very short, repetitive and very amateur-sounding, however in the spirit of the Album-A-Day project I uploaded it anyway. Despite me not liking the tracks and being slightly embarrassed about it, I'm keeping up this project online anyway to show to others that everyone starts from somewhere and to also showcase my improvement as a composer.
Background
In 2020 I got FL studio for my birthday, despite this I ended up not using the program that much. I did try making a few songs but only 1 of them ended up being released that year.
Wanting to actually learn how to use FL studio, I came across an old website made by Tom Murphy VII where he talks about the idea of making a short album in 24 hours and it inspired me to try it myself. I used this exercise as a way of forcing myself to learn how FL Studio works and to actually release something, even if it wasn't that good.
Another part of the inspiration came from musician and vlogger Emma Blackery when she released a video talking about beating creative blocks by just working with the first thing that comes to mind.
Production
Work began on the music at rougly 8pm on September 21st, 2022 and I ended the attempt early at around midnight, possibly because I wanted to sleep. While the original Album-Day-Rules state that you should use 24 hours, I likely didn't do so because I treated midnight on the 21st as the start, except with me putting off making anything until 8pm.
Album Art
An album cover was created and used for the Newgrounds upload, however the full image has since been lost and I do not recall what the creation process was like. At a rough guess I likely took a random image from my PC and messed around with it using filters in Paint.NET to get something that I thought looked cool, but without the full image I can't say for certain.
With my hard drive being wiped in 2024, if there was any existing copy of the artwork buried somewhere deep in a random folder somewhere on my PC, it is 100% gone now. Truly lost media.
