After a year of not making any Album-A-Day projects, work began on A Temporal Shift In Your Psychosis on January 7, 2025 and ended two days later on January 9, 2025. The inspiration for the album comes from the bands Zopp, Kitchen Sink and Panchiko
Despite the rules for Album-A-Day being that you have 24 hours to work on the album, I took a day longer (plus some extra time in the early hours of January 9) to get the album complete. This was because I had written lyrics for two of the tracks, but not had the time to record them. Furthermore, only three songs had been made and I was aiming for at least four. The title track also needed a bit more work.
Spiritually it's not an Album in a Day due to it taking more than double the time, however I'm still counting it as one as I was still following my usual rules, it's just I took longer.
Artwork
The album art a pair of glowing eyes with a rainbow gradient. Coming up with an album cover for this was really difficult without simply repeating what I did for Wing It!. Ultimately I think it fits the title track, but I'm not sure about the rest of the album. I kept it anyway in part because I had already spent far too much time on the overall project. I do have some regrets on the artwork as it probably looks a bit too goofy for an album called "A Temporal Shift in Your Psychosis" that includes a song that hints at suicidal ideation and not wanting to grow old (aka Live Fast, Die Young).
Release
A Temporal Shift In Your Psychosis was released on January 9, 2025 to Newgrounds, Bandcamp and YouTube. The title track was also released as a single to Newgrounds. The 3rd track in the album 'Live Fast, Die Young' was also released as a single on January 22, 2025.
A limited run of 20 CDs were released on Bandcamp on January 29, 2025. Two days later a limited run of 17 Cassettes were also released on Bandcamp.

I chose to upload the "Side Two" instrumentals to Newgrounds and Bandcamp on February 27. The main reason being that the two tracks on this side had their instrumentals composed first and lyrics added later, so there was some intention for the song to be heard without lyrics.

The title track 'A Temporal Shift In Your Psychosis' was featured on the frontpage of Newgrounds on January 9, 2025. It was also featured on Frome FM's radio show Rebellious Jukebox on February 6, 2025.
